This remarkable new pistol has the cocking handle hinged at the front of the receiver that lifts upward from the rear. The handle provides a lot of leverage so cocking effort is only eight pounds and yet it is rated at over 500 ft/sec. The cocking stroke is longer, but much easier than comparable air guns. Cocking the air gun exposes the breech for loading a pellet into the 8" barrel. In addition to the safety, which resets automatically during cocking, there is a cocking lever lock that must be engaged before the air pistol can be fired. This is also supplied with tough brown leather case with pellet pocket.
