Out of the box this rifle CAN be excellent but even if it's not performing well at first persevere it will settle down. Should you wish to hurry the process it is very easy to strip down for a tune and polish to take off the rough edges. A full tune kit is available for ?50 and worth every penny. This gun will perform at 11.6ftlbs consistently but should you overdo the tune up, on a warm day you could find yourself with a gun way over the legal limit of 12 ftlbs and get yourself into VERY serious trouble. The stock will strip and polish beautifully to bring out the wood grain and there are a plethora of add-ons as this gun has cult following in the USA as the QB78. There are bulk CO2 kits available (mine is a MaxZBulk from Honolulu Max Balbuena is a bloody genious). I bought my gun in Warrington Market for ?69.99, a 3-9x40 (with high mounts) scope and a silencer from NMP and I consider I have one of the finest recoiless rifles oufits available, a real bunny basher. Cool weather tends to reduce power but I use a re-usable hand warmer in my left palm during cold weather and away it goes, no problems. You also get the benefit of a warm hand :-) Don't let ANYONE look down their noses at this gun it is pure 100% fun and very accurate. Buy the .22 for hunting and get the .177 thumbhole stock version (AR28) for paper punching and FT at these prices you can afford both!
