  • What Can 3D Printing Bring to the Airsoft Community?

    It’s interesting to think about how 3D printing could impact the airsoft world, especially when you consider that 3D printing is now more advanced than when it was popularised in 2011. It has been utilised in many different ways, one of which was for military use when creating concrete barracks for the Marines. This was a huge time-saver, with the project being printed in only two days and serving as a base capable of resisting enemy fire. Particularly impressive when compared to the self-built options by the Marines, which can take substantially longer, require a lot more manpower and are typically made from materials that can’t compare to the concrete 3D printed alternative.

  • New Season of Hollywood Weapons Streaming on Netflix

    We’ve been binging on the latest season of Hollywood Weapons: Fact or Fiction on Netflix recently. Season two dropped on UK Netflix on 15th July, offering subscribers seven episodes of the eight-parter to watch. Interestingly, Netflix seems to entirely skip over episode seven in which Terry and Larry investigate several iconic scenes from westerns ­– testing whether it’s possible to shoot a cowboy hat straight off a bad guy’s head or whether a single shot from a Colt revolver could, in fact, break shackles. Unfortunately, you guys will have to wonder about this episode unless you can find an alternative way of watching it.

  • Next Generation Squad Automatic Rifle Will Not Replace M249, Officials Say

    You know the saying “sometimes the old ways are the best”? Well, it seems that is exactly the thinking behind the recent announcement that the Cold War-era M249 Squad Automatic Weapon could well remain in army circulation for years to come.

    While they are looking into fielding the Next Generation Squad Automatic Rifle (NGSAR) as early as 2022, the M249 is doing a currently doing a great job, and it has been hinted that it won’t be completely phased out when the NGSAR is rolled out. Continue reading
