This traditionally hand forged katana (sword) designed by us ticks all the boxes. It comes with a 72.5cm carbon steel blade that features a wire brushed hamon line with bo-hi (fuller groove) and a continuously curved cutting edge. The edge is live, and can be used to cut meaning this is an accurate, authentic Japanese style sword!

The sword features a brass coloured blade collar (habaki) that connects the blade to the tsuba (hand guard) and follows onto the tsuka (handle). The full tang of the blade is double pinned into the handle with bamboo pegs ensuring safe use. The handle is wrapped with faux same ray skin and then overwrapped with fabric in traditional Japanese style. This is an excellent, low cost sword suitable for entry level back garden cutting.
