Sportsmatch was founded in the UK in 1972 by John Ford, an avid shooter who noticed a lack of options for rifle scope mounts. Using knowledge from a career in motorsports, he designed his own, creating a mid-point between cheap and unreliable Asian imports and the expensive and rarified German mounts. Over 50 years later, Sportsmatch mounts are now enjoyed by shooters across the world.
All Sportsmatch scope mounts are made using state-of-the-art CNC machinery for expert precision before being checked by hand to ensure every piece meets their quality standards.
Sportmatch mounts were originally designed for high-recoil rifles, where cheaper mounts would creep or slide after a couple of shots. Nowadays, they are seen as a reliable choice for pretty much any style of air rifle, promising reliable accuracy shot after shot.
There is a wide range of Sportsmatch scope mounts to choose from, and we stock many of their most popular models in our range. Many of their models are predominantly made of two separate rings, but they also offer one piece mounts; these are heavier but provide more support, useful for ensuring alignment on heavy-recoil rifles.
