Umarex was founded at a time when German law changed stating that all over-the-counter guns had to be blank firing or air guns.

This opened up an opportunity, which Wulf-Heinz Pflaumer, collaborating with Franz Wonisch and Karl Mayer Senior, took advantage of as they set about developing a range of guns for recreational shooters. The business took off, and Umarex products were soon exported all over the world.

Umarex’s high levels of realism, coupled with high-quality build materials and reliability, have provided a great range of air rifles which offer everything an avid shooter needs.

Umarex Beretta Air Pistols


One of Umarex’s most popular ranges is the Beretta air pistol. These replicas of classic Italian pistols offer a realistic look and feel at an excellent price range. Most of the Umarex Beretta range fires short pellets or steel BBs.

Umarex Legends Range


Beretta is far from the only classic manufacturer that Umarex has reproduced for air gun enthusiasts. The Umarex Legends range allows us to go back in time and enjoy some historic arms.

The Umarex Legends range includes the Makarov, an air replica of the semi-automatic pistol used by the Soviet Union. The range also comes with a collection of historic semi-automatic air rifles, including the legendary German MP40 and American Thompson M1A1.

Most of the Umarex Legends range is designed to fire steel BBs and is designed with realism in mind, even down to the firing sound.
