Want to take out your airsoft enemies from longer range? A DMR might just provide the shooting experience you’re looking for. Check out some of our favourite airsoft rifles in this category to get started.
What is a DMR Airsoft Gun?
DMR stands for Designated Marksman Rifle. In airsoft, these guns blend the capabilities of usual AEGs and sniper rifles for a powerful long-range weapon.
Typically, DMRs are used by more advanced players who want a higher FPS and increased range. While there are, of course, purpose-built DMRs (more of those in a second), many DMRs tend to be modified AEGs with upgraded internals – hence why it's usually the more experienced players that end up taking on the DM role, although there’s still plenty of opportunities for newbies.
Out-of-the-box DMRs are only semi-automatic to ensure they adhere to limits at skirmish sites. If you’re interested in adding an airsoft DMR to your arsenal but don’t want to convert an AEG, there are plenty of these purpose-built DMRs from top brands that’ll do more than a good job. Have a look for yourself.

The folding stock makes it easy and less cumbersome to carry around, giving you a manoeuvrable weapon out on the skirmish field. Also included are adjustable flip-up sight, an adjustable rotary hop up and a 48 round mid-cap magazine.
A&K AXR DMR M4 Black 6mm Electric Assault Rifle
This is another fantastic value-for-money option that offers impressive power and accuracy.
